eCollege Features

eCollege provides wide variety of features to everyone involved in the education system. Here are few of the features apart from the Lecture Notes, Assignments and Online Examination(Assessments)

Blogs
The personal blog, an ongoing diary or commentary by an individual Blogs often become more than a way to just communicate; they become a way to reflect on life or works of art.

Forums
Forums allow users to post messages and comment on others messages. Each Course is associated with a Forum. Forums help to carry the discussion beyond classrooms

Calendar
Calendar helps to organize and schedule course events. The Calendar allows staff to record and exchange information about their schedules. Calendar events are displayed in Week or Day view.

Chat System
The Chat tool allows you to communicate via text while on-line at the same time. The Chat allows the users to interact with each other via a text-based chat. With Chat tool, you can hold private chats with other students/faculty or enter a "course chat room" and by typing messages can communicate immediately to the faculty or the entire class

EMail System
Email is a very important communication tool. EMail system is internal to the portal and is very similar to most web-based email systems on the Internet.

My Documents
My Document provides a personal space for users to keep a backup of the files. These files can be shared with other users. My Document follows the windows folder structure allowing users to create the multi-level folders structure.

Shared Documents
Shared Documents provides access to all the documents shared by others.

My Images
My Images provides a personal space for users to keep a backup of the images which are used in their blogs or Lecture eNotes (for Faculty). Similar to My Documents, My Images too follow the windows folder structure allowing users to create the multi-level folders structure.

Administrator Counseling
Administrator counseling provides counseling to currently enrolled students as well for the future students interested.  Counseling is provided by a professional counselor who will assist students in a non-judgmental, objective, confidential setting with their day-to-day concerns, problems, thoughts and feelings. Counseling information is kept track as Transcripts.

Advisor
Faculty Advisor contributes greatly to the student's experience. In addition to invaluable guidance and advice, they provide the continuity needed in a Collegiate Chapter.

Announcements
Announcements area is entry point, and this prominence makes the Announcements area a useful communication tool and can be used to remind students/faculty of important information or alert them.

Amazon Book Search
eCollege now comes with Amazon Book Search integration, which allows users to search for books from Amazon and get the top 10 relevent books results.

Patent Search
eCollege now comes with US Patent, European Patent and Japanese Patent Databases integration, which allows users to search for patents from all these databases from one point. User need not leave the portal at any point of time.

Reports
Reports allow to keep track of various portals’ resources details. Keep track of an individual student’s progress. Reports are completely customizable accordingly.
